Please read the following information in advance of completing your application to register as a Tree Contractor in the Township of Wyckoff:
Registered contractors must provide proof of insurance as follows:
1. Commercial General Liability Insurance: The policy shall provide a $1,000,000 combined single limit for Bodily Injury and Property Damage, including Products Liability, Personal Injury, Contractual Liability, Completed Operations and Property Damage Legal Liability and all standard policy form extensions and a $2,000,000 per location general aggregate and be written on an "occurrence form" with no deductible. The policy shall be endorsed to include the Township of Wyckoff, and all officers, employees, agents and/or consultants representing or working for the above (collectively, and each of such other persons and entities, the "Additional Insureds"), as "Additional Insureds" using ISO Additional Insured Endorsement CG 2010 (07 04) AND CG 20 37 (07 04) or CG 20 33 (07 04) AND CG 20 37 (10 01), or an endorsement providing equivalent coverage to the Additional Insureds. This insurance for the Additional Insureds shall be as broad as the coverage provided for the contractor. It shall apply as Primary and Non-Contributory Insurance before any other insurance or self-insurance, including any deductible, maintained by, or provided to, the Additional Insureds. The limits of insurance set forth herein shall not limit the liability of the contractor. The policy should be written on form CG 00 01 (07 98) or its equivalent and shall not include any exclusions or limitations other than those incorporated in the standard form. In addition, the certificate should provide Waiver of Subrogation against the Township of Wyckoff.
2. Worker's Compensation and Employer's Liability: A Statutory Workers Compensation policy covering employees in the State of New Jersey and Employers Liability subject to limits of no less than the $1,000,000.
3. Auto Liability: The policy should provide coverage a $1,000,000 limit of liability for all autos, and $1,000,000 for uninsured motorists.
4. Umbrella Liability: Umbrella policy shall provide a limit of not less than $1,000,000.00 providing excess coverage for all limits and coverage required under paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 above. Umbrella shall be extended over the General Liability, Auto Liability & Workers Compensation coverages. The limits can be obtained by a combination of Primary and Excess Umbrella policies, provided that all layers follow form with underlying insurance policies. The policies shall be endorsed to include all Additional Insureds.
5. Notice of Cancellation: Minimum 30 days advance notice required from insurers regarding cancellation of any required coverage.
Please contact your insurance representative to obtain a Certificate of Insurance before moving ahead.
Also required are copies of your Certificates from the NJ Board of Tree Experts. We will need a copy of your company's certificate and a copy of the certificate for your LTE or LTCO.
Your $250 fee will cover you until December 31, 2026 and is payable by check only.
